K. Brooke Ottesen
Brooke is an Associate Attorney with The Brocker Law Firm, PA. Before joining the firm as an associate, Brooke worked at the Brocker Law Firm as a law clerk assisting attorneys in professional and occupational licensing, disciplinary matters and ethics counseling. She has experience with various licensing boards, including the Board of Law Examiners, the Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners, the NC State Bar, the Board of Pharmacy, the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, and NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Brooke graduated, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Social Work from Meredith College in Raleigh. While at Meredith, she had the opportunity to intern at Legal Aid of N.C. in Raleigh where she fell in love with the practice of law. She then attended North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, N.C. and graduated with honors. While at North Carolina Central, she served as a staff member of the North Carolina Central Law Review.
Brooke is a member of the N.C. State Bar, the 10th Judicial District Bar, the N.C. Bar Association, and the Wake County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Law Practice Management Section of the N.C. Bar Association. She presently co-chairs the Newsletter Committee of the Law Practice Management Section.
When Brooke is not hard at work, she is hard at play with her family- volunteering at her sons’ schools, running, skiing, avidly reading, studying Norwegian, and pursuing her great passion she shares with her grandmother—travel.
